Education
Bachelor of Design Degree
(with Distinction)
University of Alberta, Class of 1999.
This four year program was a balance of practical design skills and critical theory. Courses focused on providing an understanding of the visual elements of communication, as well as creating an awareness of higher level issues such as social responsibility and cultural impact. I specialized in visual communication design, typography, and photography, with some printmaking classes as well. In addition to the core art and design classes, a variety of courses in the humanities helped provide a more holistic view towards design (and life).
