um - Almost 6 months later, time for a photo update! :)

Busy Summer!

Well it's been a busy summer i guess, we haven't had a chance to post anything in a while it seems.

Edie and Nuala are both growing fast - Edie had a little growth spurt in the past month it seems, and talking more and more. She now likes going for bike rides (tricycle) and dancing a lot - she's figured out how to turn on the stereo and play music.

Nuala is now crawling, eating solids, and trying to walk! She started crawling at around six and a half months - and then soon after started to try to walk. Of course she has no balance but she's very determined (stubborn?) so tries to pull herself up, take a step and immediately tumble. I think she admires her sister and wants to get better at everything. When we feed her, she has to feed herself - grabbing the spoon and making a big mess.

We made it out to Edmonton for a week, and Medicine Hat and Montana for another.

More More Sooner Sooner

Our lives have changed once again. To some this may not seem like a big deal - but it certainly alters things for us. Nuala rolled over first back to front and then within 10 minutes rolled front to back. A full 360 degrees in one day - Such a Strong Girl!

Edie is sure changing fast too. No more little baby Edie, no way. Big Girl Edie, now. She is talking in sentences, and sponging up every word we say. No slips allowed on our part. Come here Mummy, please. Daddy, just 2 minutes. Sit Now. Tino is a bad boy. Maggie is a bad boy. Rude.

In celebration of the big events and the enormous learning, we've finally decided to upload some new pics. Yes. Yes. We know. We know..more, more. sooner, sooner. more more often. sorry, sorry :P

Happy One Month Nuala!

It's hard to believe that Nuala is already a month old (yesterday). It's gone by really quick!

At the same time I guess it seems like she's been with us a long time - I can't imagine life without her.

We love you Nuala!

Edie Votes

Today we got the girls packed up and headed out to vote. We asked Edie if she wanted to go vote and she got all excited. Jenn and I decided to just go in one at a time, with the girls in the car.

The whole time, Edie kept saying, "Edie vote!". When we got home, "no home!! Edie vote!". Well being close to bedtime the only place we could think of to take her is 7-11...

So now Edie thinks voting is going to the store to pick out a 5¢ candy!

Two Quick Weeks

The past two weeks seems to have gone by really quickly. The first week was hard - not a lot of sleep, big adjustments, but we've settled into a groove really quickly. Jenn and I were both surprised - perhaps we're more prepared for what's in store this time around. That being said, it's only been two weeks - who knows what'll happen!

Edie has been really good with Nuala. She likes to give hugs, tell stories, and try to teach Nuala about things like cookies and tv shows.

Introducing Nuala Louise Devine!

Nuala Louise Devine came into the world Tuesday February 5th at 10.11 am - 7 pounds 9 oz., and just a bit over 20" long. She has red hair and is very cute!!

Jenn and Nuala are at home and healthy. Edie is very excited to be a big sister – she’s been very good with helping out – diaper changes, telling Nuala about the dogs, tv shows, milk, etc. and inviting her to the zoo!
